Swell House

Created as a sanctuary of calm just moments from the shoreline of Mermaid Beach, Swell House balances sculptural architectural form with a warm and inviting interior palette.

Throughout the home, our 90mm lining boards in raw matte were custom painted to align seamlessly with the project’s carefully considered finishes, allowing the natural warmth and subtle texture of the timber to remain present while integrating effortlessly into the overall design language.

Used across key interior spaces, the lining boards introduce softness, rhythm and depth, complementing the flowing curves and refined detailing that define the residence. The tailored finish enhances the sense of cohesion throughout the home, creating an atmosphere that feels both elevated and deeply liveable. Despite the scale of the project, every material selection was approached with the intention of making the spaces feel intimate, relaxed and connected to their coastal surroundings.

Immersed in natural light and greenery from every angle, the interiors dissolve into the landscape, reinforcing the seamless relationship between indoors and out. The custom-painted timber lining became an integral part of this vision — subtle, refined and intentionally resolved — contributing warmth, texture and a sense of quiet permanence to a highly considered architectural home.
