Armadale Annex is a light-filled, single-level extension thoughtfully designed to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. Connected seamlessly to the garden, the addition forms a tranquil retreat that complements the character of the existing Edwardian home while confidently expressing a contemporary identity.
Defined by its sleek, all-white aesthetic, the design creates a striking contrast between old and new—deliberately highlighting the clarity and simplicity of the new structure. Conceived for a client with a passion for gardening, the extension offers generous natural light and carefully framed views of the landscape from multiple vantage points, fostering a constant connection to the outdoors.
Our timber lining boards in Limewash were used throughout to bring subtle warmth and texture to the interior. Their soft, pale finish introduces a natural element that sits comfortably within the modern palette, adding visual interest while maintaining the clean, refined atmosphere of the space.
