GW x Abodo
Designed as a more accessible external cladding solution, Marlu combines the high-performance properties of Abodo Vulcan with a relaxed, character-rich visual grade. Crafted from heat-tempered, fast-renewable New Zealand Radiata Pine, Marlu delivers enhanced stability, durability and coating performance for long-term exterior applications.
Approximately 50% clear-grade timber is combined with boards featuring natural characteristics including flowing grain, knots, resin pockets and tonal variation. Rather than concealing these features, Marlu embraces the individuality of timber, creating depth, movement and an organic rhythm across the facade.
Heat tempered without harmful chemicals and crafted using Abodo’s patented vertical grain technology, Marlu offers additional stability and improved weathering performance. Grown and manufactured in New Zealand from rapidly renewable Radiata Pine forests, it brings together natural character, considered design and long-term performance.
Available in a select range of colours, Marlu provides a cost-effective alternative to premium clear-grade cladding, making the architectural benefits of Vulcan more accessible for a broader range of exterior applications.

Our supply is predominantly in longer lengths, with typically around 90% of material supplied over 3000mm. Final length specification will be determined based on the current availability at time of order.
