Altus is our Group 2 fire-rated timber lining system, developed for specification-led projects where performance and design integrity are equally important. Combining the natural character of Paulownia with enhanced fire performance, Altus gives architects and designers greater freedom to specify genuine timber across a wider range of interior applications. Lightweight, refined and distinctly natural, Altus delivers the architectural finish of Glosswood with Group 2 fire performance built into the timber system.
Designed to Perform
Altus uses natural Paulownia that has undergone a specialised pressure impregnation process to achieve Group 2 fire performance. Rather than relying solely on a fire-retardant coating applied to the surface, the treatment is impregnated into the timber itself. This allows the natural grain and refined architectural finish of Paulownia to remain central to the design. The result is a considered timber lining solution where design and performance work together.
Group 2 Fire Performance
Glosswood Fire Rated Paulownia has been tested and assessed to achieve Group 2 fire performance in accordance with AS ISO 9705, with the test report issued by CSIRO. This provides architects, designers and certifiers with greater flexibility when specifying natural timber for interior applications where fire performance is an important consideration. Made for Interior Spaces
Altus is designed for walls and ceilings across a range of commercial and residential interiors, including commercial, hospitality, workplace and residential. Available in selected Glosswood profiles and finishes, Altus integrates naturally into contemporary architectural spaces while providing enhanced fire performance.
