Tomakin House NSW
Residential

Designed as a relaxed seaside retreat for a family from inland New South Wales, this home captures the essence of the local coastal character through a refined, contemporary lens. Taking cues from the traditional Australian ‘Beachcomber’ style, the architecture features a robust masonry base with a light, timber-clad upper level that embraces open-plan living and ocean views.
Set behind the dunes at Tomakin Beach, the house is elevated just enough to take in glimpses of the sea, while remaining grounded in the natural contours of the site. Nestled among coastal vegetation, the design balances openness and shelter, creating a sense of calm immersion in the landscape.
Our acoustic panels in Limewash were used throughout the upper level to bring warmth, texture, and visual cohesion to the interior. Their pale finish complements the surrounding sand tones while contributing to the home’s quiet, refined atmosphere - enhancing both comfort and acoustic performance in the open living spaces.
