15 Jul The benefits of using Glosswood’s Satin range
It’s been 16 years since Glosswood launched our five original timber colours. Since then, 15 additional colours have joined the range over the years following, influencing architects nationally and making Glosswood a leader in the Australian timber industry. Glosswood has innovated two superior coatings, which are Matte and Satin. The Satin coating is cured by ultravoilet (U.V.) light and has a glossy appearance. Below we explore the benefits of utilising the Satin finish.
The coating has no VOC’s
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) are commonly found in consumer products, and are a compound that transfers into vapors. This is often the smell that appears when opening packaging or getting into a new car. Glosswood has no VOC’s in the Satin product range.
Easy to clean
The coating has a smooth, gloss finish and is easy to clean. It is commonly selected for kitchen and hospitality applications as it is easily wiped down. To clean the boards, use a lint-free cloth (or a damp cloth for any finger marks). Explore the 11 colours available.
The Satin finish requires no further recoating. This makes it a low-maintenance finish, compared to other timber coatings which need ongoing touching up.
Option for customisation
The Satin finish can have text printed onto it. This is beneficial for hospitality and retail fit-outs for branding. A sign-writer can print text and logo’s onto the boards as seen below.
