22 Jun A warm, modern update to Brisbane School
Brisbane firm Wilson Architects have a solid background in education design, centring their work around the student experience. Brisbane Girls Grammar School recently engaged Wilson Architects for a new build. The space houses both the health centre and school psychologists. The interior design and materiality were carefully considered so that both staff and students feel comfortable and at ease.
The colour palette consists of soft greys, light timber and muted white finishes. One natural material Wilson Architects specified was Glosswood for it’s organic timber grain. Our Concave lining boards were used to introduce subtle movement. The scalloped profile adds to the environment while the Tasmanian Oak finish compliments the materiality in the space.
