The recommended method of fixing is a combination of adhesive and secret nailing. The lining can be nailed at each batten through the groove at a 45 degree angle which is then concealed by the next board (refer illustration). The nails clamp the board securely in position while the adhesive cures.

The first board of the run should be set parallel and square with the grooved face outward to allow secret nailing. The board should be checked with a square and spirit level before final attachment.
The adhesive is applied to the supporting timber batten or wall surface in small beads (refer manufacturer’s instructions) so that about five boards can be fixed consecutively. Interlock each board then tap into final position using a profiled block then secure with a secret nail at each batten checking the boards progressively with a level and square.
For visual effect, it is preferable to randomly stagger joins to minimise the impact on the finished surface.
Glosswood lining board is fully sealed on four sides, cutting the board exposes the raw timber surface, to achieve a clean cut on a finished surface always saw the boards with the finished face upwards.
It is mandatory to seal any exposed sawn surface with an appropriate sealer (used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions) failure to observe this task will automatically void any warranty.
End-matched method:
Glosswood 2.4m length boards are end matched to allow easy installation and eliminate the need for supplementary support at the join as the end match interlocks and holds boards in place. Boards are simply slotted into place and can be gently tapped home for a tight finish. There may be a need to make other joins in which the butt joint method should be used. See below.Note the 3.6m length boards are not End matched
