15 Nov Project Detail: Lighting Feature
May + Russell Architects selected Glosswood in Distressed White for the foyer space to make a bold statement in The National Archives Preservation Facility. The Canberra based building is the heart of Australia’s history acting as a storage, management and preservation facility.
The Herringbone concept wall has been enhanced by the use of LED lighting strips. The lights have been inserted between the lining boards joins to enhance the leading lines of the foyer space. The Herringbone style can be achieved by discussing the design with a qualified carpenter. Glosswood would also recommend allowing additional wastage (such as 20 – 25%).
